Only 2 teams were in action the first day of the season, the 1st XI started their T20 campaign, while the 3rd XI made a start to their Res F two day campaign against Khayaleitsha.

The 1st XI were outplayed by Kuilsriver in thier first game before narrowly missing out by 7 runs against Bishop Lavis in the second game.

The 3rd XI ended Day 1 wel lon top, taking a 119 run lead into next Saturday.  Khaya 1st innings 41 all out; MCC 1st innings 196/5; Khaya 2nd innings 36/0.
